E 'safe to run my WD Passport drive from a protective sleeve or case?
I just bought a "2.5 External Hard Drive (WD Passport). I was wondering if it was safe to operate from a faux leather slightly padded sleeve I'm using just to avoid scratching / damaging it while carrying it around. The sleeve is open on the connector. Thx in advance!
Probably be OK for intermittent use light, but you should really give all the ventilation is possible to avoid overheating.
